Real Madrid just two steps away from lifting record 34th title

Real Madrid 2-0 Alaves: Real move within two wins of title with ...

Real Madrid has been in amazing form as they have won all the games they have played so far after the football's restart in Europe. They have won all of their games they have and have scored a total of 15 goals.

Real Madrid has played eight games so far since football has resumed after the suspension of it back in March. All of their wins have been very comprehensive and they are very close to lifting the league title for the 34th time in their history.

Real Madrid played their 35th game of the La Liga season against Alaves last night and it was a must-win the game for them in the context of the league. Before yesterday's game, Real was just one point ahead of the Catalans and a win would take them four points clear of the current champions and would put them in the supreme position to win the title.

It was a home game for Real but was a very tough game as they were missing their key players in the shape of Sergio Ramos and Dani Carvajal. Sergio Ramos has been their most important player recently as he has scored four goals in his last games he played for Los Blancos. He missed that because he was suspended due to receiving yellow cards that exceeded the given limit.

Match started with Real Madrid on top and went in front at the 11th minute of the match when Ferland Mendy was tripped just inside the box and got a penalty for his team. That was later converted by the team's number nine Karim Benzema.

Asensio scored the second goal for the team in the 51st minute with an assist from the scorer of the first goal Benzema. It was ruled out first by the assistant referee on the side but it was checked by VAR and it was shown that Benzema and Asensio both were on so the goal stood.

That 2-0 lead continued till the end of the match. No further goals were scored. Good news for Real Madrid was the return of their number 7 Eden Hazard into the side after being sidelined for three games due to a small ankle problem.

That win took the Los merengues to 80 points in the league meaning that they are 4 points at the top from Barcelona. Barca has been very shaky in the recent past as they have lost six points in just their last five games. They drew against three difficult sides in the shape of Sevilla, Celta Vigo, and Atletico Madrid but to be the best you have to beat the best.

Real Madrid is in a great position to win the league. Both teams have three games remaining in the hut. Real will be facing Granada, Villarreal, and Leganes respectively in their remaining games. On the other hand, Barca will be facing Vallodoid, Osasuna, and Alaves respectively.

Moreover, Uefa has announced the champions league draw of the remaining matches. Real and Barca will be facing Man City and Napoli.
