Real Madrid get a really important win to stay in the title race



Real Madrid were bound to face Valencia at home on Thursday night. It was a really important game for the Los Blancos in the context of the league. With 5 points behind Barca they needed to win that game badly.

Real Madrid started with a 4-4-2 combinatio where Benzema and Hazard were the only forwards. Real started the game on high note pressing the ball high in the opposing teams field and creating threats for them but none of them went into to the net. Valencia stabled after 15 minutes and started to build up. Most important play of the first half was Rodrygo's dissallowed goal. It was an important part of the game. If that goal would have been allowed then Real were under immense pressure. But luckily that goal was dissallowed due to offside.

Second part of the first half was quite dull from Real Madrid which resulted in the goalless first half. Real appeared on the field unchanged in the second half but this time came with some real intent. Benzema and Hazard linked up beautifully which threatened the opposing team. First goal finally came for Real in 61st minute when Benzema scored with an assist from Eden Hazard. Some of the credit for that should also be given to Luka Modirc who passed the ball to Hazard and then he passed it on to Benzema.

Real Madrid just made two substitutes in the whole match. Asensio and Vinicius jr entered the mat for Hazard and Fede Valverde. The change proved very effective in Real Madrid favor when Marco Asensio scored a goal in the 74 minute of the match. Asensio has came back from injury after a long time. The third and the final goal of the game was again scored by karim Benzema in the 86th minute of the game. He put the game the bed and went home with a brace.

If Real Madrid can keep up this form till the end of the remaining season they will surely lift the league trophy and maybe UCL too. Their key players have to remain in form and fit in the remaining games in order to give their team more titles.
