Asensio says that it was emotional to be back out there



Yesterday night Real Madrid had their game against Valencia which they won comfortably by 3-0. One of their scorers were the injury returning Marco Asensio. He returned after recovering from an ACL injury after 10 months time.

Marco Asensio scored the second goal of the game for Real madrid with his very first touch of the ball after 10 months. It was a beautiful goal that nearly put the game to bed. The youngester entered the pitch at 73rd minute and scored the goal in 74th minute to score the first goal for him in this campaign. He got injured in the pre season before the start of the official season so he could not play a single game in the season that shows that it was his first game of the season when he entered vs Valencia.

He said, "I couldn't wait to get back, it's been months of hard work. It was emptional and so satisfying to be back out there. I am thrilled to have been able to play, with the goal and the team win. The most important thing is we got the win and I feel in good shape heading into the closing stages of the season."

His French manager was really happy to see him back in the Real Madrid colours. Real Madrid are now looking one of the strongest sides in Europe as they have a huge depth in the squad where there atleast two world class players in all the positions especially in attack. Real Madrid have Benzema who plays as a centre forward, Gareth Bale who can play as winger as well as a centre forward too. Then there is Eden Hazard who sometimes play as a winger and sometimes in attacking midfield position. They also have Vinicius jr who can catch any team due to his speed and Rodrygo who is known for his speed, dribling and finishing. Mariano Diaz is available for the centre forward position. Now, Asensio is also back.

This much depth can also cause problems for Zidane whether who to play and who to bench but it is a problem that every team would want to have. At the moment, Real Madrid is in the best position to win the league title even if they are 2 points behind Barca at the moment. Barca have very dificult games ahead. They still have to face Sevilla and Atletico Madrid.
