Ronaldo can face Real Madrid for the first time ever!

 Uefa champions league draws took place on 10th July. All the remaining games will be played behind closed doors in Portugal and Germany. Initially, it was suggested by Uefa that the rest of the season will be played in Portugal only. But later they confirmed that Germany will also host some matches of the knockout stages.

We all know that the champions league was suspended four months ago in March and is scheduled to be restarted in the second week of August. There is still four round of 16 matches left to be played between Barca vs Napoli, Man City vs Real Madrid, Chelsea vs Bayern Munich, and Juventus vs Lyon. 

We will be watching some mouth-watering games in the quarter-finals of the champions league as Barca, Bayern, Man City, Real Madrid, and Juventus are all drawn in one group. It means that these teams will face each other until one goes to the final.

On the other side, there is Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint Germain. Both of them have qualified for the quarter-finals and will be facing RB Leipzig and Atalanta respectively. If they both win their respective clashes then they will be facing each other in the semi-final of the competition. Also, keep in mind that all these matches will be just of one leg due to the ongoing pandemic.

Real Madrid will be facing Man City in the round of 16"s second leg. They have lost the first leg 2-1 at home meaning that they will need to win that game against the blues. It will be a very tough game for the 13 times winners as Man City is one of the best teams offensively and to overcome them is very difficult but the form they are in they can do this. Man city's boss has already said that Real Madrid is the true champions of the competition and they are the true kings of Europe. He emphasized on the fact that it will be very hard to beat them in this competition.

On the other hand, the Italian champions Juventus has the same scenario as that of Real Madrid as they also have lost the first leg and will be looking to overcome Lyon in the second leg. Lyon won 1-0 at home in their first leg back in Feb.

As per the draws if both Real Madrid and Juventus win their respective ties as everyone is expecting them to win they will be facing each other in the quarter-final of the champions league. Everyone is favoring Real Madrid to win against Man City as they have been doing it for many years and have won three titles in the last four years.

 If this happens then it will mean a Ronaldo versus Real Madrid clash. This will the first time ever Cristiano will face Real Madrid. It will be a game of big emotions for the great as we all know that how much respect CR7 has for his former clubs.

Juventus also a very tough test because they are 1-0 down and they didn't score an away goal against Lyon. So, it can become tricky for them but when you have Cristiano in your team you are always two steps ahead of your opponents.

Moreover, Barcelona will be facing Napoli on 9th August. Their first leg was drawn 1-1 meaning that Barca has an away goal against strong opposition. Napoli is currently on the 6th position in the Serie A table and they were the team who beat Juventus in the Coppa Italia Final.

If Barcelona wins their clash with Napoli then they will face the winners of Bayern versus City clash where Bayern are the clear favorites as they won the first leg 3-0 away from and it doesn't seem that Chelsea will back in the second leg.

There is a small chance of Ronaldo vs Messi clash. The chances will rise only if Barca wins their game against Napoli and Juve win their game against Lyon and then both the teams win their quarter-finals against Bayern and Real Madrid respectively. But that looks highly unlikely because when these teams met the last time Bayern beat Barca 7-0 in the quarter-final in 2013 and Real beaten Juventus in 2018 where Ronaldo scored his famous overhead kick goal in Turin.

It is yet to be seen who will win and who will lose. Keep one thing in mind that all these games will be on one leg and no team will be given a second chance.

Juventus were on the verge of winning their ninth consecutive league title yesterday night. If they could have beaten Udinese in the last match they would have won the league. Cristiano Ronaldo's team was very much favorites to win that match before the start of the game as per their form this season. The defending champions were unable to display their natural game.
